About Simply Impressive...

Simply Impressive Cooking school is a home-based cooking school in Mesa, Arizona.  We offer hands-on cooking and baking classes for adults and children.  We also hold custom tailored classes for groups and private team building sessions. 

Our instructor, Judy Toth, is a home cook who enjoys cooking, baking and entertaining. When looking to leave the corporate environment, her friends suggested opening a cooking school, since she was always teaching someone how to cook. Judy’s corporate teaching and organizational background fit nicely into cooking classes, making sure that students learn more than just how to make a recipe. 

While Judy shuns the title of ‘gourmet’, others have labeled her classes ‘everyday gourmet’.

Classes are small (generally no more than 6 people) and everyone participates in making every recipe.  Students get hands-on experience preparing ALL the recipes made in class.  Our recipes use ingredients you can purchase in any grocery store, so you are assured of being able to re-create the dishes in your own home.

Our classes are in a home environment using tools and equipment you can easily purchase.  Students can often try out kitchen gadgets before spending money on them at home.  We are not affiliated with anay cooking stores, so you know if we promote a gadget, we really like it.

Judy has appeared on many local television programs such as ABC’s Sonoran Living and Channel 3’s Everyday Entertaining.  Her kids classes have been featured on, among others, NBC 12’s School Solutions, FOX 10 and Channel 3’s healthy eating segments.  She has had columns in local newspapers and is a regular contributor to the national woman’s website, vibrantnation.com.  Judy is also writing food related articles and recipes on as the Mesa Food Examiner located at examiner.com.  The media loves her because she can take difficult recipes and make them easy enough for anyone to prep are. 

With finances as tight as they are right now, KTAR radio has also featured Judy on ways to save at the grocery store as has ABC Channel 15’s Smart Shopper.  If you think that cooking classes are just for fun…think again.  Learning how to cook or expanding your repertoire can save you money in the long run.  With a little planning, you can make great meals, even on weekdays…while spending very little time or money.
